Mark of NCT is back with a bold new solo venture, showcasing his distinctive artistic identity. On December 16 at 6 PM KST, Mark released his latest single, Fraktsiya (Feat. Lee Young Ji), on global music platforms. The accompanying music video debuted simultaneously on SM Entertainment’s official YouTube channel.

Fraktsiya is a dynamic hip-hop track featuring house-inspired chord progressions, a powerful 808 bassline, and a strikingly repetitive synthesizer riff. The song also incorporates elements of UK drill, a subgenre of hip-hop, adding depth and character to its sound. Mark’s sharp rapping and unique charisma take center stage, offering a fresh perspective on his artistry.

The lyrics cleverly draw parallels between the duo’s navigation of both K-pop and hip-hop spheres, likening their multifaceted personas to the concept of Fraktsiya. Mark shared insights about the creative process, stating, “I began working on this track while reflecting on my position in K-pop and the different roles I play. Young Ji felt like a kindred spirit, so I reached out for a collaboration.”

Expressing his enthusiasm for working with Lee Young Ji, Mark added, “I believed we would create something unique together. Fraktsiya proves that intuition right, and I’m deeply grateful for her contribution.” He also conveyed his excitement for the release, saying, “I’m thrilled to share this new single.
