StayC, the popular K-pop girl group, has unveiled its fourth Japanese single, titled “Meow/Cheeky Icy Thang-Japanese Ver.,” as announced by their agency, HighUp Entertainment, on Tuesday. This latest release underscores the group's growing influence in Japan and their commitment to expanding their musical reach.
The new single features the title track “Meow,” a song that showcases the group’s ability to connect with listeners by candidly expressing the emotions of everyday life. The B-side track, “Cheeky Icy Thang-Japanese Ver.,” is a reimagined version of the lead single from their first full-length Korean album, “Metamorphic,” offering fans a fresh take on a familiar favorite.
In conjunction with the release, StayC members traveled to Osaka earlier this week to promote the album, marking an important step in solidifying their presence in the Japanese market. The group’s promotional activities in Japan are expected to generate significant buzz, as they continue to attract a growing fanbase in the region.
Following their promotional tour in Japan, StayC will return to Seoul for a special fan event titled “StayC Movie Club.” This fan meetup, scheduled for August 31 and September 1, will be the group's first in over 15 months, offering a rare and exciting opportunity for fans to engage with the members up close.
With the release of “Meow/Cheeky Icy Thang-Japanese Ver.,” StayC continues to demonstrate their versatility and broad appeal, further establishing themselves as a prominent force in the global music scene. Their ability to successfully bridge the gap between Korean and Japanese markets highlights their growing international influence and the strong connection they maintain with their fans worldwide.
