From Novels to Performances: Multidisciplinary Artist Han Kang Wins Nobel Prize

South Korean novelist Han Kang has been awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature, becoming the second Korean to receive a Nobel Prize.
The author won the award for her sixth novel, "The Boy Is Coming," which sheds light on the May 18 Gwangju Uprising, bringing Korean historical context to the world.
Although not widely known to the public, Han has also pursued various artistic endeavors, including performance art, video art, and installation art.
Her performances and videos are closely linked with her exhibited works, highlighting themes of life and death.
Han Kang's Nobel Prize win will be officially commemorated at the award ceremony in Stockholm this December.
