Irene of Red Velvet has made a triumphant debut as a solo artist, with her first mini-album, Like A Flower, released on November 26. The album has been met with resounding success, selling over 330,000 copies in its first week, according to Hanteo Chart.
This milestone places Irene among the top 10 female solo artists for first-week sales, securing the seventh spot alongside prominent names such as BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Lisa, and (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi.
Like A Flower has also topped multiple music charts, including the Circle Chart Retail Album Daily Chart, while reaching number one on iTunes Top Albums charts in 23 countries and regions.
The album marks Irene’s first solo project in her decade-long career, showcasing her versatility through a mix of genres including pop, dance, ballad, and R&B. The release has further solidified her standing as a multifaceted artist capable of captivating a global audience.
