The K-pop girl group NewJeans has reached a significant milestone with their music video for "Cookie," which has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. This marks the group's fifth video to achieve such a feat, following performance videos for "Hype Boy," "OMG," and "Ditto," as well as the music video for "Super Shy."
"Cookie," one of the three focus tracks from NewJeans' debut EP, has been recognized internationally. The song was featured in The New York Times' list of the "70 Best Songs of 2022," being the only K-pop track to cut. This dance-pop tune has been lauded for showcasing the group's musical depth and distinct style, earning them widespread acclaim.
In addition to its YouTube success, "Cookie" has also garnered over 200 million streams on Spotify, further solidifying NewJeans' global appeal. Their musical achievements continue to resonate beyond South Korea, demonstrating the group's potential for sustained growth on the world stage.
Meanwhile, NewJeans is scheduled to appear on music shows in Japan, on Nippon TV on August 17, and on TBS on August 19. The group's ongoing activities in Japan reflect their expanding international fanbase and their commitment to engaging with audiences around the globe.
