Irene, the leader of the K-pop group Red Velvet, is set to release her first solo album, “Like A Flower,” on November 26, according to SM Entertainment. The album, Irene’s debut as a solo artist, comes a decade after she first stepped onto the music scene with Red Velvet. The highly anticipated release will feature eight tracks rooted in the pop genre, including the title track, “Like A Flower.”

This solo album marks a new chapter in Irene’s career, allowing her to explore her artistry independently of the group. Irene’s solo project follows Red Velvet’s recent EP, “Cosmic,” which celebrated the group’s 10th anniversary. The EP saw widespread success, reaching the top spot on iTunes Top Albums chart in 50 regions and securing the group’s first appearance on the Billboard 200 at No. 145, showcasing the global appeal of Red Velvet.

Following the release of “Cosmic,” Red Velvet embarked on a fan concert tour across Asia, kicking off in Seoul with a two-day performance in August. The group then visited fans in Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, and Macao, sharing their milestone year with dedicated fans. The tour wrapped up in late September, leaving fans with high anticipation for future projects from both the group and individual members

Irene’s solo debut has been eagerly awaited, as she is the last member of Red Velvet to launch a solo career. Fellow members Wendy, Joy, and Seulgi have each previously released solo projects, establishing their unique styles. Now, Irene’s album offers fans the opportunity to discover her distinct musical expression and artistic vision.

“Like A Flower” represents a personal journey for Irene, whose solo endeavor is expected to reflect her own experiences and musical tastes. SM Entertainment announced that Irene will actively promote her album through performances on music shows, fan meet-and-greet events, and online content, allowing fans to connect more closely with her as a solo artist.

Pre-orders for “Like A Flower” will open on November 10 across major online and offline music retailers. Teasers and promotional material will be unveiled in the coming weeks, building excitement for her debut.

As one of K-pop’s most influential figures, Irene’s solo debut is expected to make a significant impact, not only by showcasing her personal growth as an artist but also by contributing to Red Velvet’s collective legacy. Her solo work offers fans a new perspective, adding depth to the group’s achievements over the past decade.

“Like A Flower” promises to be a memorable release for both Irene and her fans, solidifying her place in the ever-evolving world of K-pop.
