Rookie girl group IZNA has solidified their status as a rising force in K-pop, earning coveted spots in major year-end events just one month after their debut. The group, consisting of Mai, Bang Ji Min, Yoon Ji Yoon, Coco, Yoo Sa Rang, Choi Jung Eun, and Jung Se Bi, is set to perform at the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon on December 25 at Incheon’s Inspire Arena and the 2024 MBC Gayo Daejejeon WANNABE on December 31.
IZNA’s inclusion in these prestigious lineups highlights their meteoric rise and burgeoning popularity among fans and industry professionals alike. Sharing the stage with some of K-pop’s biggest names at these highly anticipated events is a remarkable achievement for the group, who debuted just last month.
In addition to their domestic success, IZNA will make their presence felt on the global stage. They are confirmed to attend the 39th Golden Disc Awards at Fukuoka’s PayPay Dome on January 5, 2025. Known as one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in Korean music, the Golden Disc Awards have a storied 39-year history, and IZNA’s performance is expected to captivate international audiences with their signature energy and charisma.
IZNA first captured global attention as the winners of Mnet’s survival program "I-LAND 2," which garnered votes from viewers in 217 countries and regions. Their debut stage at the 2024 MAMA Awards at Kyocera Dome Osaka last month showcased their potential, leaving fans and critics in awe.
Their debut album, "N/a," achieved significant commercial success, entering the Top 10 on iTunes Top Albums charts in 14 countries. The album also claimed No. 1 spots on Japan’s Apple Music K-pop Albums ranking and Rakuten Music charts, cementing IZNA’s status as a “global rookie.”
IZNA’s rapid ascent in the industry is marked by invitations to prestigious stages and impressive chart performances, solidifying their reputation as a next-generation “iconic girl group.” Their ability to shine alongside seasoned artists at events like the SBS Gayo Daejeon, MBC Gayo Daejejeon WANNABE, and the Golden Disc Awards demonstrates their growing influence and widespread appeal.
Despite being newcomers, IZNA has already made a lasting impression with their polished performances and dynamic presence. As they continue their upward trajectory, fans can expect the group to deliver a variety of activities and performances that will further showcase their versatility and potential.
