Taeyong, a member of the popular K-pop group NCT, will bring his first solo concert to the big screen with the release of a concert film titled “Taeyong: TY Track in Cinema.” According to distributor CJ4D Plex, the film is set to premiere in cinemas on September 25 in South Korea, offering fans a chance to relive the dynamic performances of his solo concert while gaining behind-the-scenes insights into his preparations and personal reflections.
The film is based on Taeyong’s first solo concert, “TY Track,” which took place in Seoul in February 2023. The concert featured the live debut of his track “Tap,” the lead single from his second solo EP. Fans who attended the concert were treated to an exclusive performance of the song, just one day before the official release of the full EP. The six-track EP “Tap” quickly achieved significant success, topping the iTunes Top Albums chart in 33 regions, with the lead single also dominating the Top Songs chart in 16 regions.
“Taeyong: TY Track in Cinema” will provide more than just a concert experience, as the film includes candid commentaries from Taeyong, offering a glimpse into his creative process, thoughts on his solo career, and the emotional journey leading up to his first solo concert. This unique combination of live performances and personal insights is expected to resonate with both his long-time fans and new audiences alike.
Since April 2023, Taeyong has been serving his mandatory military duty as part of the Navy’s marching band, becoming the first member of NCT to enlist. Despite his temporary absence from the music scene, the release of his concert film will allow fans to stay connected with his artistry and relive the energy of his live performances.
The international release of “Taeyong: TY Track in Cinema” is scheduled for October 16, extending the opportunity for global fans to experience his solo concert on the big screen. As Taeyong’s popularity grows, the film’s premiere is expected to attract significant attention from K-pop enthusiasts worldwide.
This concert film celebrates Taeyong’s achievements as a solo artist and highlights his ongoing influence in the K-pop industry, even as he fulfills his military obligations. With his distinct musical style and powerful stage presence, Taeyong continues to solidify his position as one of the most talented and versatile performers in the genre.
