Legendary British rock band Coldplay is set to return to South Korea for the first time in eight years, with a series of four concerts in April 2025. The shows, scheduled for April 16, 18, 19, and 22, will take place at Goyang Stadium, a venue capable of accommodating 40,000 spectators per night. The concerts are expected to be the largest-ever performance by an international artist in Korea.

These concerts are part of Coldplay’s ongoing “Music of the Spheres” tour, which kicked off in March 2022. The tour has been a global phenomenon, with over 10 million tickets sold to date across various countries. In addition to Korea, Coldplay will bring the tour to other key locations in the UAE, India, and Hong Kong in the coming months.

Coldplay, consisting of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion, has sold over 100 million records worldwide since their debut in 1998. Known for their anthemic hits and captivating live performances, the band has developed a strong fan base in Korea, particularly following their 2017 performance as part of the “A Head Full of Dreams” world tour. During that show, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin made headlines by performing a special song dedicated to Korean fans and showing respect by kissing the Korean national flag.

Coldplay’s return is anticipated with excitement not only for their music but also for their dedication to sustainability. The band has made headlines for its eco-friendly concert practices, incorporating solar power, recycled batteries, and low-carbon transportation methods throughout the tour. Additionally, the LED wristbands provided to the audience, which contribute to the immersive concert experience, are collected and reused after each show, reducing waste.

Tickets for the Korean leg of Coldplay’s tour will be available on Interpark Ticket starting at noon on September 27. Given the band’s immense popularity and the scale of the event, tickets are expected to sell out quickly.
