Osuga’s work captures the humor and vibrancy of ordinary moments, from scenes like manhole covers to cafes and train stations. His careful approach combines a critical eye with playful humor, resulting in art that is both thought-provoking and lively. This exhibition features new works alongside pieces from his past series, offering a comprehensive look at his imaginative world.
Born in Tokyo in 1968, Osuga was raised in both Japan and the UK. He later studied at renowned art institutions, including St. Martins, Chelsea, and the Royal College of Art, and currently resides and works in London. His recent exhibitions include showcases at the Queens Terrace Cafe, the Japanese Embassy in London, the Charles B. Wang Center in New York, and the Streatham Festival.
For Osuga, even the smallest details of daily life are filled with meaning, and his art captures this through scenes that reflect both the absurdity and beauty in the mundane. Visitors will experience a fresh visual journey as Osuga’s works transcend everyday perceptions and turn familiar scenes into moments of artistic exploration.
