G-Dragon Returns to 'SBS Gayo Daejeon' After 7 Years, Fans Anticipate Iconic Performance

Renowned artist G-Dragon is set to take the stage at the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon, marking his first appearance at the event in seven years. SBS-TV revealed the final lineup on December 11, with G-Dragon’s name highlighted in bold green typography, capturing fans’ attention.
This will be his second major awards show appearance this year, following his dynamic performance at the 2024 MAMA Awards. His last Gayo Daejeon stage was in 2016, making this return particularly significant. Fans are eager to witness his highly anticipated performance, especially after the release of his recent hit singles Power and Home Sweet Home, which have dominated charts and created a buzz in the industry. At the MAMA Awards, G-Dragon also reunited with fellow BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung, delivering a memorable joint stage.
The 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon will feature a star-studded lineup of 29 teams, including G-Dragon, SHINee’s Key, 2NE1, NCT 127, NCT Dream, Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, ATEEZ, WayV, and ITZY. Joining them are TXT, Lee Young Ji, aespa, ENHYPEN, IVE, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, ZeroBaseOne, RIIZE, TWS, NCT Wish, and I’LL-IT, among others.
Held annually during the Christmas season, the Gayo Daejeon has become one of the most anticipated end-of-year events, showcasing the top K-pop artists who defined the year. Its reputation as the largest Christmas music festival in Korea continues to grow.
This year’s event will take place on December 25 at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, and will be broadcast live on SBS.
