Guimi You, a contemporary artist based in Seoul, is holding a solo exhibition, 'Neighborhood' at the Jessica Silverman Gallery.
Through the exhibition, the artist showcases five oil paintings based on the memories of her life.
The artist spent time in various places and newly discovered the importance of nature, and she fused the traditions of Korean landscape painting to complete her painting style.
In her work, the gardens, ponds, plants, and villages are depicted with the wonders of the familiar but usually excessive landscapes and spaces.
The human figure on the canvas blends naturally with the surrounding landscape, and through its silhouette, it represents reflection and respect for the natural world.
The exhibition will be held until June 1 at the Jessica Silverman Gallery in San Francisco, the United States.
