KBS announced on December 4th that G-Dragon's latest single Home Sweet Home has been deemed ineligible for broadcast following a recent review by its song evaluation committee. The track was found to violate Article 46 of the Broadcasting Review Regulations, which restricts content that directly promotes specific brands.

The song includes mentions of Airbnb and other brand names, with lyrics such as, "Don't play on me, no we're Air B&B, You're Homeless." This explicit reference led to the committee’s ruling that the song's lyrics could have advertising implications, rendering it unsuitable for broadcast under KBS guidelines.

However, the ban is not permanent. If the problematic sections are revised or removed, Home Sweet Home may undergo reevaluation. Should the amended version pass the review, it would become eligible for KBS airplay.

Home Sweet Home is a collaboration featuring G-Dragon alongside his fellow BIGBANG members, Taeyang and Daesung. The song’s theme revolves around the comforting idea of returning home, with an emotional nod to their fans, often referred to as their ultimate "home." The track delivers a message of reunion and joy, marking a significant comeback for the group.

BIGBANG recently reunited for their first full-group performance at the 2024 MAMA Awards, generating widespread excitement among fans and critics alike. The group's charismatic stage presence and unshaken musical prowess were on full display, earning rave reviews for their electrifying performance.

Since its release on November 22nd, Home Sweet Home has dominated music charts in South Korea, swiftly climbing to the top of real-time, daily, and weekly rankings on major platforms. The song’s success underscores the enduring influence and appeal of G-Dragon and BIGBANG in the global music scene.
