Five-kilometre course will connect Yongsan Family Park and Hyochang Stadium

The 2026 My5K charity walk will take place in Seoul on Oct. 9, bringing participants together for a five-kilometre event supporting socially marginalized communities.

Participants will assemble at Yongsan Family Park by 8:45 a.m. The walk will begin at 9 a.m. and follow a course passing Yongsan Station and Samgakji Station before finishing at Hyochang Stadium. The full program is scheduled to end at 12:30 p.m.

My5K describes itself as a donation-based walking campaign encouraging people to take part with family members, friends and neighbours. Launched in 2019, the campaign has previously raised funds for children requiring medical treatment, young people living without parental care, older adults living alone and families facing financial hardship.

This year’s participation fee is 30,000 won per person. Registration remains open through Sept. 30, with individual and group applications available.

Registered participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, cap, admission wristband and digital donation certificate. The wristband must be brought to the event for entry into the prize draw.

Activities at the finishing venue will include cultural performances, games, experience booths and a prize draw. Participants completing the course can also receive a finisher badge, food and additional event gifts.

My5K is not a timed race. Its central idea is to turn an ordinary walk through Seoul into a shared act of giving, with the five-kilometre distance representing the neighbours and communities located close to everyday life.
