Eight Korean artists will hold a group exhibition, 'Time Lapse: 어느 시간에 탑승하시겠습니까?' in Seoul.
The exhibition, which will be held from the 15th to the 13th of March, will feature a total of eight artists, including Jungwook Kim, Jinhee Kim, Noah Ryu, Wangsoo Park, Suh Yongsun, Woosung Lee, Jaeheon Lee, and Soojung Jung.
All artists who participate in the exhibition work on paintings based on humans as an object, sense changes in society and space surrounding them, and express the time each passes in pictures.
The eight artists reflected on the times and environment and expressed their artistic perspectives on the canvas, such as the results of examining the inner world of humans and their nature and the boundary between the imaginary world and reality.
This exhibition shows the stories of various generations according to the number of floors in the gallery where the exhibition is taking place.
On the first floor of the gallery, the works of two contemporary artists, Suh Yongsun and Woosung Lee, will be exhibited, and on the second floor, the artworks of four artists, Jungwook Kim, Wangsoo Park, Noah Ryu, and Jaeheon Lee, who conducted works on finite time and ontological concerns, will be exhibited.
Finally, on the third floor of the gallery, the audience can appreciate works by Jinhee Kim and other artists, including Soojung Jung's works that show a multi-layered world between reality and fantasy.
The exhibition was organized by Jee Young Maeng, who has worked as a curator at the nonprofit Doosan Art Center.
The exhibition will run until Mar. 15 at Pace Gallery in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
