SEVENTEEN continues to solidify its global influence, securing the 3rd spot on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)'s Global Artist Chart 2024, making them the highest-ranking K-pop act on the prestigious list. The IFPI released its annual report on February 18, highlighting SEVENTEEN’s remarkable performance alongside some of the world’s top music icons.

The Global Artist Chart, widely regarded as one of the most objective indicators of an artist's worldwide success, aggregates physical album sales, digital downloads, and audio-video streaming data to rank artists. SEVENTEEN’s 3rd place finish places them just behind global superstars Taylor Swift, who secured the top spot, and Drake, who ranked 2nd.

SEVENTEEN’s steady climb on the chart over the years underscores their growing global influence. The group first entered the chart in 2021 at 9th place, advanced to 6th in 2022, and reached 2nd place in 2023, consistently demonstrating their staying power in the competitive global music scene.

The group also achieved outstanding results in the album-specific charts. Their 12th mini-album SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN claimed 3rd place on the Global Album Sales Chart 2024, while their best-of compilation 17 IS RIGHT HERE secured 4th place. In the broader Global Album Chart, which considers not only sales but also streaming, SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN ranked 6th and 17 IS RIGHT HERE placed 8th. SEVENTEEN stands out as the only K-pop act to have two albums simultaneously ranked in these global charts, reflecting their massive international appeal.

Their commercial success is further underscored by a staggering cumulative album sales figure of 10 million copies as of 2024, a testament to their dedicated fanbase and consistent musical output.

SEVENTEEN’s world tour also contributed to their global dominance. The tour, which kicked off on October 12-13 at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, spanned 14 cities across North America, Japan, and Asia, totaling 30 shows and attracting over 1.037 million attendees. The massive turnout highlights SEVENTEEN's ability to draw large crowds in diverse markets, solidifying their reputation as global performers.

The group is set to maintain its momentum with their upcoming fan meeting, SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND, scheduled for March 20-21 at Incheon Munhak Stadium. Following the fan event, SEVENTEEN will embark on a series of concerts across Japan in April and May, further strengthening their global footprint.

With continuous growth in both sales and audience engagement, SEVENTEEN has firmly established itself as a key player in the global music industry, leading the K-pop wave into new territories and solidifying their legacy as one of the most influential acts of this generation.
