BLACKPINK’s Jennie is set to ignite anticipation for her first full-length solo album with the pre-release of "Love Hangover." The track will be available on January 31 at 2 PM (KST) across major streaming platforms.
"Love Hangover" delves into the turmoil of irresistible attraction, where the subject is both a poison and a cure. The song, blending emotional intensity with Jennie’s signature style, features Dominic Fike, an acclaimed American singer-songwriter known for his genre-bending sound.
The track is part of Jennie’s debut solo album, "Ruby," which consists of 15 songs showcasing her artistic evolution. The album includes previously released singles such as "Mantra," "ZEN," and "Love Hangover," offering a diverse sonic palette.
Jennie has enlisted an impressive lineup of global collaborators for "Ruby." The album features contributions from Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ, and Kali Uchis, reinforcing her position as an artist with international appeal.
To celebrate the release, Jennie will host "The Ruby Experience" in Los Angeles, New York, and Seoul this March. Due to overwhelming demand, an additional Los Angeles show has been added. The event is expected to provide fans with an immersive introduction to her solo musical vision.
Jennie’s solo career has been closely watched since she first stepped into the spotlight as a member of BLACKPINK. With "Ruby," she seeks to redefine her identity as a solo artist, blending pop, R&B, and alternative influences into a body of work that reflects her personal and artistic journey.
As BLACKPINK members continue to expand their individual paths, Jennie’s album is poised to be a defining moment in her career. The industry is watching closely to see how "Ruby" will reshape the global pop landscape and further solidify Jennie’s status as a force beyond K-pop.
