Jeong Dong Won is set to return with a new album that promises to capture the beauty and innocence of a fairytale. Showplay Entertainment announced on February 21 and 22 via Jeong Dong Won’s official social media channels that his second full-length album, The Gift of the Tall One (키다리의 선물), will be released on March 13 at 6 p.m. KST.

To build anticipation for the upcoming album, the agency unveiled a series of illustrated teaser images. In the first teaser, Jeong Dong Won is depicted as the “tall one,” reaching out his hand to a young girl, accompanied by the heartwarming message, “You are my precious gift.” Another illustration showcases a shimmering field where Jeong holds the girl’s hand, further enhanced by the comforting phrase, “I will always be by your side.” These images hint at a whimsical and emotionally touching theme, stirring fans' curiosity about the album's narrative.

This marks Jeong Dong Won’s first full-length album in nearly three years since the release of his debut album Longing, The Tree That Gives Generously (그리움, 아낌없이 주는 나무) in 2021. In the years since his debut, he has explored new artistic avenues, including activities under his alternate persona, JD1. Through JD1, he experimented with different musical styles, releasing tracks like ERROR 405 and Take Responsibility (책임져), and showcasing his versatility as a K-pop artist.

Beyond his music career, Jeong Dong Won has made significant strides in various entertainment fields. He expanded his presence in television variety shows and even ventured into cinema with his first concert film, Jeong Dong Won Christmas All-Out The Movie (정동원 성탄총동원 더 무비), allowing fans to relive his live performances on the big screen. Additionally, he is gearing up for a nationwide concert tour, further solidifying his growing popularity.
