Rookie K-pop boy group KickFlip is set to make their much-anticipated debut, officially kicking off promotions with the release of their first mini-album Flip it, Kick it! on January 20. JYP Entertainment heightened excitement on January 10 by unveiling the group’s initial concept photos through their official social media channels.

The photos showcased the seven-member group’s vibrant and dynamic energy, featuring group, unit, and individual shots. Each image reflected a free-spirited vibe, with members posing alongside instruments and music equipment on skateboards, emphasizing their youthful, music-driven concept. The playful jumps and running poses radiated energetic charm, while their cohesive chemistry as a team stood out, hinting at a strong debut.

KickFlip has already garnered significant attention even before their official debut. They were named one of the "8 Rookie K-Pop Acts to Watch in 2025" by Grammy.com, signaling their potential as a breakout act. Adding to the momentum, the group pre-released their track “응 그래” (Yes, Sure) on January 6, accompanied by a vibrant music video. The video achieved impressive milestones, ranking 9th on YouTube’s Worldwide Music Video Trending chart and 3rd on Korea’s Popular Trending Videos list as of January 7.

The seven-member group consists of Gye Hoon, Amaru, Dong Hwa, Joo Wang, Min Jae, K.J., and Dong Hyun, each bringing a unique charisma to the group. The name “KickFlip” is derived from a challenging skateboarding trick involving a 360-degree board rotation, symbolizing the group’s intent to innovate and break boundaries in the K-pop scene.

KickFlip will release their debut album across major music streaming platforms at 6 PM on January 20. The group will mark the occasion with a debut showcase airing on Mnet’s M2 at 7 PM, followed by a debut showcase event at 9 PM the same day. The momentum doesn’t stop there—KickFlip will host a pop-up event at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeongdeungpo from January 25 to February 2, providing fans with an immersive experience to celebrate their debut.

As anticipation builds, industry insiders and fans alike are eager to see how KickFlip will carve their path in the competitive K-pop landscape, leveraging their distinctive energy and promising talent.
