K-pop agency Attrakt has officially begun its "First Attrakt Global Audition" in search of new talent for its next boy group. Following the success of Fifty Fifty, the company is setting its sights on discovering the next global idol group with auditions open from February 4 to March 25, 2025.
The audition is open to male applicants born between 2007 and 2012, regardless of nationality. Aspiring idols can submit their applications online, with the company actively scouting global talent with exceptional potential.
An Attrakt representative stated, "Through this global audition, we aim to discover trainees with outstanding potential from around the world. Our goal is to create a next-generation boy group that will lead K-pop into the future."
The announcement comes as Attrakt continues to expand its presence in the K-pop industry. The company gained widespread recognition in 2023 with the unprecedented success of Fifty Fifty's hit single "Cupid". The track became a global sensation, reaching the Billboard Hot 100, a rare achievement for a group from a mid-sized agency. Fifty Fifty’s success demonstrated that smaller entertainment companies could compete on the global stage, and Attrakt is now looking to replicate that momentum with its upcoming boy group.
Industry insiders speculate that Attrakt's next project could leverage the same strategic approach that propelled Fifty Fifty to success. By focusing on high-quality production, viral appeal, and a global music market, the company aims to establish its new boy group as a competitive force in K-pop.
The global audition process reflects the increasing demand for diverse K-pop talent. As K-pop continues to gain international traction, entertainment agencies are expanding their reach beyond South Korea, actively seeking artists who can appeal to a worldwide audience.
With the audition period set to conclude on March 25, 2025, fans and industry watchers alike are eager to see whether Attrakt can once again discover a breakout act capable of making waves in the global music scene.
