PLAVE is making a highly anticipated comeback with their self-produced third mini-album, Caligo Pt.1, set for release on February 3 at 6 PM (KST) across major music platforms.
According to their agency, Blast, this album marks the beginning of a new musical chapter for PLAVE. Expanding beyond the ASTERUM trilogy, Caligo Pt.1 delves deeper into the group’s distinct artistic sensibilities, offering a more immersive listening experience.
What sets this album apart is PLAVE’s hands-on involvement in the creative process. The members took part in writing, composing, and producing every track, showcasing their musical growth and authenticity. Their influence extends beyond the music, as they also played a role in choreographing the performances. The five-track album spans multiple genres, including rock, city pop, hip-hop, R&B, and ballads, demonstrating their versatility.
The title track, Dash, takes center stage with its striking rock-based sound, signaling a bold transformation for the group. The song captures PLAVE’s signature intensity while introducing a fresh, dynamic edge to their music.
The music video also reflects this ambitious evolution. Compared to previous releases, the production scale has been significantly expanded, with over twice the manpower and an extended filming period. The result is a visually compelling narrative that seamlessly integrates striking visuals with intricate storytelling.
Other notable tracks on the album include the pre-released Island, 12:32 (A to T), Chroma Drift, and RIZZ. Each song contributes to the album’s diverse sonic landscape, further solidifying PLAVE’s identity as a multifaceted artist.
To celebrate the release, PLAVE will host a comeback live broadcast on the same day at 8 PM (KST), engaging directly with fans as they unveil their latest musical endeavor.
With Caligo Pt.1, PLAVE not only redefines their sound but also reinforces their reputation as artists who are actively shaping their creative path.
