According to industry sources, Cho was discovered deceased at his residence, with reports indicating the cause of death as a heart attack.

Cho gained prominence through his appearance on "Phantom Singer 2" in 2017, where he captivated audiences with his exceptional vocal abilities. He received his education in Vocal Music at Seoul Arts High School and Yonsei University.

Following his stint on the show, Cho remained active in the music industry, frequently performing in concerts and recently appearing on KBS' "Open Concert" in June.

The news of his sudden death has elicited an outpouring of condolences from his peers and fans on social media.

Composer and singer Go Young-bin expressed his grief, saying, "My dear brother. You said we'd meet again soon, why did you have to leave so suddenly? I'm devastated. Sing beautifully in heaven. I'm sorry and I love you."
