Newly emerging girl group KiiiKiii is breaking industry norms by unveiling their debut music video ahead of their official launch.
On February 16, Starship Entertainment released the music video for KiiiKiii’s title track, I DO ME, on its official YouTube channel. This unconventional promotional strategy bypassed the typical teaser and introduction phases, instead spotlighting the group members and their music video from the outset.
The move has generated significant buzz. Within just 12 hours of release, the video soared to the No. 1 spot on YouTube’s trending videos list. As of February 18, it has surpassed 2.24 million views, reflecting the strong global interest in the group.
I DO ME is a pop dance track that amplifies KiiiKiii’s confident and bold image. The song opens with a dreamy synthesizer sound before transitioning into a deep, rhythmic disco drumbeat, creating an addictive and dynamic energy.
The music video, filmed in New Zealand, enhances the song’s artistic vision. Set against vast natural landscapes, it presents a visually striking composition that highlights each member’s individuality and self-expression. The cinematography and styling contribute to an aesthetic that feels more like a contemporary art piece than a traditional K-pop video.
A representative from Starship Entertainment commented, “KiiiKiii is already shaking up the music industry with their unique concept. We believe they will establish themselves as a leading force in shaping the next wave of K-pop.”
In addition to their bold marketing approach, KiiiKiii continues to expand their promotional activities. On February 17, they officially launched their website, further building anticipation ahead of their debut. The group is set to make its formal entrance into the K-pop scene on March 24.
