The Friends of Kunsthalle Brennabor will open the exhibition "Connected Between Earth and Expanse" on Friday, November 7, starting at 6 p.m. The exhibition features works by painter Ana Finta from Brandenburg an der Havel and Potsdam-based artist Jana Wilsky.

The exhibition brings together two artistic positions that engage with nature and landscape in different ways. Ana Finta works predominantly in abstract forms, employing warm earth tones and gray hues in her paintings and graphics. Her works focus on the material connection to the earth, exploring themes of grounding and earthbound elements.

Jana Wilsky takes a different approach by combining painting, objects, and elements of Land Art. Her works open up spaces that emphasize vastness, airiness, and movement, creating a sense of expansiveness that contrasts with Finta's more grounded aesthetic.

The exhibition will be open from November 8 through January 18, with viewing hours on Fridays through Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Kunsthalle will be closed for the year-end holidays from December 15 through January 8.

Several accompanying events are planned throughout the exhibition period. A reading and music event is scheduled for Sunday, November 16, at 3 p.m. A sound performance titled "Between Space, Earth and Expanse" featuring Antje Messerschmidt and Jana Wilsky will take place on Sunday, November 23, at 3 p.m. The exhibition will conclude with a finissage featuring music and dance on Sunday, January 18, at 3 p.m., followed by the presentation of the 2026 exhibition program at 4:30 p.m.

The exhibition is organized by the Friends of Kunsthalle Brennabor and showcases notable works including Ana Finta's "Sands" and "Reed" (both acrylic on canvas, 2025), as well as Jana Wilsky's "mini muzika véjo" and "Dance of Silence" (both mixed media, 2025). This comprehensive showcase demonstrates the diverse approaches contemporary artists take when exploring humanity's relationship with the natural world.
