The K-pop girl group DreamNote has announced an upcoming English version of their latest lead track, "Lemonade," due for release on Thursday. The announcement, made earlier today by their agency, offers fans a fresh take on the group's summer anthem.
“'Lemonade' is DreamNote's song for the summer which offers the cool, pleasant sensation of sipping a fizzy drink on a sweltering summer day," the agency stated in their press release. By releasing the English version of the track, DreamNote aims to extend their musical influence to a broader, global audience.
DreamNote first made their presence felt in the K-pop scene in November 2018, debuting as an eight-member group under the management of iMe Korea. The original lineup consisted of Boni, Youi, Lara, Miso, Sumin, Eunjo, and former members Habin and Hanbyeol. A year later, Habin and Hanbyeol departed, leaving the group with its current six-member configuration.
The forthcoming English version of "Lemonade" is an exciting move for DreamNote, particularly given the success of their recent musical endeavors. DreamNote's fifth extended play (EP), "Secondary Page," which hit the market in April, featured "Lemonade" as its lead track. This EP is the latest music offering from the girl group since their previous EP, "Dreams Alive," was released in October 2021.
The original "Lemonade" track embodies the distinctive freshness and vibrant energy of summer. As the English adaptation gets set to reach DreamNote's international fan base, it offers another testament to the group's commitment to embracing and engaging with their global listeners. This release, combined with the group's consistent musical output, signals DreamNote's ambition to become a notable presence on the international music stage.
