GREAT M ENTERTAINMENT
In a highly-anticipated announcement, Great M Entertainment has revealed that their inaugural boy band, 82Major, is poised to make their official debut on October 11th, according to a statement from the agency made on Tuesday.
The enigmatic moniker, "82Major," bears a symbolic fusion of significance. It combines "82," denoting South Korea's calling code, with the term "major," encapsulating the aspirations of the group to become a distinguished representative of Korean music, as elaborated in a press release by Great M Entertainment.
Building intrigue and excitement, a teaser video surfaced on the boy band's Instagram account, offering a tantalizing glimpse into their forthcoming debut. The video showcased a truck adorned with a prominent vinyl motif as it halted beside an LED display in the vicinity of Hongdae Station, western Seoul. This spectacle served as a prelude to the much-anticipated release of 82Major's yet-to-be-revealed teaser video.
While Great M Entertainment has introduced five trainees through their trainee project known as Rarehouse Project, the official roster of members set to debut with 82Major remains undisclosed, heightening the intrigue surrounding their debut.
Great M Entertainment, a nascent agency in the industry, was founded by Kim Young-sun, a co-founder and former executive at FNC Entertainment. Notably, former AOA member Choa entered into an exclusive contract with the agency in 2020, further adding to its growing portfolio of talent and potential.
As the countdown to October 11th begins, the music world eagerly awaits the unveiling of 82Major, a new boy band poised to make their mark and captivate audiences with their unique blend of talent and ambition.
