Lee Ye Jun, winner of The Voice Korea 2, is embarking on a meaningful musical endeavor by participating in the Duryu JUMCO Project. On November 14 at 6 PM (KST), her latest song, "I Thought I Had No Tears Left(눈물이 마른 줄 알았는데)," will be released across global music platforms via Aurora. This new track is part of an initiative aimed at revitalizing the youth-centered Duryu commercial district in Daegu, South Korea.
The Duryu JUMCO Project is a collaborative effort supported by South Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Daegu Metropolitan City, Dalseo District, and the Daegu Traditional Market Promotion Foundation. The project seeks to revitalize the Duryu area as a vibrant hub for young people, with Lee Ye Jun’s song capturing themes of youth and the bittersweet experiences that resonate with Korea’s MZ generation.
"I Thought I Had No Tears Left" is a heartfelt ballad that delves into the lingering pain of a past breakup, conveying a sense of unending sorrow through Lee’s expressive voice. The song opens with emotional piano and gentle strings, building dynamically toward a powerful climax that showcases Lee Ye Jun’s vocal strength. Her delicate, poignant tone, combined with a crescendo of instrumental support, brings the raw emotion of the song’s climax to life.
The track is a collaborative effort involving executive producer Kim Woo Seok of Fluxsonic, along with producer Kim Ha Jun, known for his work with prominent Korean artists such as M.C the MAX, Big Mama’s Park Min Hye, Car, the Garden, and Whee In. This lineup ensures the song’s quality and impact, highlighting the care put into this project.
The music video, set in Daegu’s Duryu JUMCO district, aims to highlight the area as a cultural landmark while transforming the project theme song into a piece of mainstream music accessible to a broader audience. The video will be released following the track’s launch.
This release also marks Lee Ye Jun’s debut as an "Aurora Muse," an artist selected for a special promotion on the global music platform Aurora, operated by Danal Entertainment. The platform connects artists to listeners in 249 countries through 30 streaming sites, allowing musicians to reach an extensive international audience. To promote the song, a customized album link tree will be available, linking to multiple streaming options for global fans.
