NewJeans, the sensational K-pop girl group that took the music industry by storm last year, has just announced their much-anticipated comeback. Their agency, ADOR, revealed through a Weverse announcement and a press release on Monday that NewJeans will be releasing their second EP titled "Get Up" on July 21.
The upcoming EP will feature a total of six songs, including the catchy tracks "Super Shy," "ETA," "Cool With You," "New Jeans," "Get Up," and "ASAP." What sets this comeback apart is that ADOR has confirmed that "Super Shy," "ETA," and "Cool With You" will all be triple title tracks, a bold move that showcases the group's versatility and musical prowess. This is not the first time NewJeans has dabbled with triple title tracks, as their debut album already featured the hits "Attention," "Hype Boy," and "Cookie."
In a surprising twist, each of the six songs will be accompanied by its own music video, as disclosed by ADOR. Particularly noteworthy is the pre-release of the song "New Jeans" on July 7, which will be accompanied by a music video in collaboration with the beloved cartoon series "The Powerpuff Girls." This exciting partnership has fans eagerly awaiting the visuals and creative direction of this special music video.
NewJeans made their remarkable debut as a five-member group consisting of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein in August 2022, under the guidance of ADOR. The music label, which falls under the HYBE umbrella, is led by the former creative director of SM Entertainment, Min Hee-jin. Since their debut, NewJeans has captivated global audiences with a string of hit songs, including "Attention," "Hybe Boy," "Ditto," and "OMG." Their remarkable achievements were recognized at the Asia Artist Awards in December 2022, where they received prestigious rookie awards and the Performance of the Year award.
To celebrate their highly-anticipated comeback, NewJeans will be hosting their first-ever fan meeting, aptly named "Bunnies Camp," at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Songpa District, southern Seoul. The two-day event, scheduled for July 1 and 2, promises to be an unforgettable experience for their dedicated fanbase, who eagerly await the chance to interact with their favorite idols.
As July 21 draws near, fans and music enthusiasts alike are eagerly anticipating the release of "Get Up," the second EP from NewJeans. With triple title tracks, stunning music videos, and a collaboration with "The Powerpuff Girls," this comeback is poised to catapult NewJeans to even greater heights in the K-pop industry.
