NewJeans' "OMG" Surpasses 600 Million Streams on Spotify

K-pop Group Achieves Milestone with First Single to Hit 600 Million Plays on the Platform

Ador agency reported on Monday that NewJeans has exceeded 600 million streams on Spotify with their single "OMG" as of Friday. This marks the group's inaugural single to reach such a significant milestone on the platform.

"OMG" serves as the title track from the group's single album released in January of last year. The song not only dominated domestic music charts alongside the pre-release track "Ditto" but also secured a spot on Billboard's Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks, peaking at No. 74. Impressively, the lead single has maintained a presence on the Global excl. the US chart for 56 weeks.

NewJeans, a quintet, has garnered over 3.6 billion plays on Spotify to date, highlighting their widespread appeal and success in the global music scene.

In a separate development, Hyein, a member of NewJeans, is set to be featured on an upcoming album from IU, as confirmed by Edam Entertainment, IU's agency, on the same day. Hyein, along with Roller Coaster vocalist Joe Wonson, collaborated on a B-side track titled "Shh...," adding another layer to the musical landscape with this noteworthy collaboration.
