NewJeans, a K-pop girl group, has collaborated with American pop star Pharrell Williams for their Japanese debut single album. Williams participated in composing and writing the lyrics for the titular track, "Supernatural," of the group's first-ever Japanese single album.

According to Ador, the agency representing NewJeans, "Supernatural" features a melody designed to evoke nostalgic sentiments and complements the group's mellow vocals. Producer 250 incorporated an iconic bridge and ad-lib from Pharrell Williams' "Back of My Mind" album, released in 2009, reinterpreting it in the new jack swing style.

Pharrell Williams, renowned for his musical talents and multiple Grammy awards, gained global recognition for his hit single, "Happy."

NewJeans is scheduled to release their Japanese debut single album on June 21, featuring a total of four tracks, including "Supernatural" and "Right Now."

In addition to their collaboration with Pharrell Williams, NewJeans has generated anticipation for their Japanese debut through partnerships with Japanese pop artist Murakami Takashi and streetwear icon Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Takashi Murakami designed the physical "Supernatural" album and cartoon characters representing all five members of NewJeans, to be featured in the group's music video for "Right Now."

Hiroshi Fujiwara contributed to the group's official merchandise, designing T-shirts, bandanas, caps, and bags, which will be available at pop-up stores NewJeans plans to open in Korea and Japan next month.

Following their official debut in Japan, NewJeans will host a two-day fan concert at the Tokyo Dome on June 26-27.
