Second Member to Extend Contract Ahead of Label's Tokyo Dome Concert

SM Entertainment confirmed on Wednesday that Irene, a member of the five-person group Red Velvet, has renewed her contract with the label. Irene expressed her trust in the company, stating that she values the support she has received from both the label and its staff since her debut. She assured fans of her commitment to engaging in various activities with her bandmates as a gesture of gratitude.

Following Seulgi, Irene becomes the second member of Red Velvet to extend her contract with SM Entertainment. The group, set to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, continues to maintain a presence in the music industry.

Red Velvet released its third studio album, titled "Chill Kill," in November of the previous year. The album achieved significant success, topping iTunes' top albums chart in 35 regions. As part of their ongoing activities, Red Velvet is scheduled to participate in SM Entertainment's all-star concert at Tokyo Dome on February 21-22.
