In an announcement made by Yang Hyun-suk, the founder and chief producer of YG Entertainment, K-pop girl group BabyMonster is scheduled to release a new song titled "Stuck In The Middle" on February 1.

Yang Hyun-suk conveyed in a YouTube video uploaded on the agency's channel that the upcoming track departs from the hip-hop genre, presenting a type of song never before released by a YG artist.

Expressing a special connection with BabyMonster, Yang mentioned that he perceives the group members as akin to his own daughters. He highlighted the age difference, noting that while members of 2NE1 and Blackpink debuted after turning 20, BabyMonster's youngest member is 14, just a year older than his daughter. This, he stated, contributes to his heightened concern and attention, akin to a paternal role.

Addressing the departure of member Ahyeon due to health issues before the group's debut in November, Yang clarified that she remains with the agency, though the timeline for her debut remains uncertain.

BabyMonster, YG Entertainment's first new girl group in seven years since Blackpink, consists of six members: Ruka, Chiquita, Rami, Pharita, Rora, and Asa. The group made its debut on November 27 with the digital single "Batter Up," symbolizing their aspiration to be a transformative force in the global music market. The track, inspired by baseball's call sign, showcases the group's distinct identity, as per the agency's statement.
