Composed by singer-songwriter Chang Kiha, "Bam Yang Gang" is characterized by its breezy melody with a touch of waltz, conveying reflections on past love. The lyrics, penned by Bibi, convey a desire for simplicity in relationships, symbolized by the traditional Korean dessert "bamyanggaeng" or sweet chestnut red bean jelly.

The success of "Bam Yang Gang" is attributed to its expressive lyrics and Bibi's notable musical transformation. Known for her dark and unconventional style since her debut in 2019, Bibi has shifted to a more lively and charming persona in this release, garnering praise from fans and critics alike.

Feel Ghood Music, Bibi's management company, emphasized the synergy between Bibi and Chang in creating "Bam Yang Gang." The song, described as bright yet sorrowful, has received acclaim for its catchy and attractive lyrics complementing Bibi's newfound loveliness.

The music video for "Bam Yang Gang" has amassed over 6 million views on YouTube as of Monday afternoon.
