Dawn, a member of Pentagon since 2016, left the group and Cube Entertainment in September 2018 after publicly confirming his relationship with singer HyunA, despite the agency's initial denial. Following the breakup with HyunA in November, he pursued a solo music career, releasing songs like "Money" (2019), "Stupid Cool" (2022), and "Dear My Light." Dawn mentioned his intention to reveal projects completed before his enlistment.
