South Korean interim coach Hwang Sun-hong emphasized the importance of improving his team's performance ahead of their World Cup qualifying match against Thailand. The match is scheduled to take place at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok on Tuesday, marking the teams' fourth Group C encounter in the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ranked 22nd globally, South Korea will face 101st-ranked Thailand. The kickoff time is set for 7:30 p.m. local time in Thailand and 9:30 p.m. in South Korea.

Following a 1-1 draw in Seoul last Thursday, Hwang acknowledged the anticipated challenge of playing away from home but expressed confidence in his squad's determination to secure a victory. Despite facing difficulties in the previous match, Hwang emphasized the importance of maintaining their own playing style rather than adjusting to their opponents'.

Captain Son Heung-min scored for South Korea in the previous encounter, with goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-woo making crucial saves. Hwang, who assumed the role of caretaker boss following the dismissal of Jurgen Klinsmann, remains optimistic about his team's ability to overcome challenges, including playing in front of a potentially hostile crowd in humid conditions.

Hwang expressed pride in his players and their ability to overcome obstacles, maintaining his confidence in their capabilities ahead of the upcoming match against Thailand.
