Cube Entertainment revealed on Thursday that Hui of Pentagon is set to make his debut as a solo musician on January 16, 2024. The solo EP titled "Whu Is Me: Complex" marks Hui's venture into solo work, approximately eight years after his debut as a member of the band.

Recognized not only as a performer but also as a proficient songwriter and producer, Hui has contributed to the success of Pentagon with his composition skills. Additionally, he has penned hit songs for various artists, including the popular group Wanna One.
In October, five members of Pentagon chose not to renew their contracts with Cube Entertainment upon the expiration of the seven-year deal. Despite this, the bandmates reassured fans of their commitment to remaining a cohesive team.
