In a triumphant return to the music scene, FT Island has dropped their highly-anticipated ninth EP, titled "Sage," on Thursday. This marks their comeback after a hiatus of over 1 1/2 years since their previous mini-album, "Lock Up."

What sets "Sage" apart is that all six tracks, including the titular main track, were co-written by the three talented band members. The EP delivers a powerful rock experience, blending robust drumbeats with captivating guitar sounds. It encourages listeners to take sagacious steps on the path they've chosen, venturing into the wider world. Fans got a sneak peek of these tracks as FT Island performed them live at their concert held on August 26-27.

Lee Honggi, one of the members, shared their creative vision, saying, "We believe we can embrace a broader spectrum of music and seamlessly connect with the public, rather than pursuing a specific type of music we want to make."

Choi Minhwan, another member, expressed their excitement about the new album, highlighting that it represents the culmination of their musical journey. "It has been a long time since we all participated in writing lyrics and melodies for all the tracks," he said, underscoring the significance of this release for the band's artistic evolution.
