V's Solo Album "Layover" Breaks Record on Billboard 200

V of BTS has set a new record for a K-pop solo artist with his debut solo album, "Layover," as it continues its presence on the Billboard 200 for a seventh consecutive week. The EP initially debuted at No. 2 on the main albums chart in September, and as of the chart dated Nov. 4, it secured the No. 160 spot, surpassing the previous record of six weeks held by bandmate RM.

Upon its release, the six-track mini album achieved remarkable sales, with over 1.6 million copies sold on the release day and a total of 2.1 million copies in its first week. These figures marked records for a K-pop solo musician at the time.

V's "Layover" also made history on Spotify, amassing 100 million plays within the first week, marking a significant milestone for a K-pop solo album. The side track "Love Me Again" additionally surpassed 200 million streams on the platform as of last week.
