Jungkook of BTS Releases Debut Solo Album "Golden"

Jungkook, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, recently released his first official solo album titled "Golden." The album features 11 tracks, with the title track being "Standing Next to You." Notably, Jungkook's previously released singles, "Seven" and "3D," are also included in this album.

In a pre-recorded video message shared with local reporters, Jungkook described the title track as belonging to the retro funk genre, conveying the theme of unity and togetherness. He expressed his confidence in the performance, asserting it to be his best solo effort to date. Jungkook aimed to infuse his unique style and interpretation of the retro genre with modern beats, making the music more accessible to a wider audience.

All the tracks in the album are in English, a deliberate choice to reach a global audience. Despite his solo success with previous releases, Jungkook remains grounded and aspires to live up to the title of a "global pop star."

As 2023 marks the 10th debut anniversary of BTS, Jungkook emphasized the importance of their dedicated fanbase as a driving force behind their music and performances. He expressed his gratitude for the support and vowed to continue striving for excellence and exploring new genres and stages.

Jungkook also shared his optimism about BTS's future, promising that the group will return even stronger by 2025. He underscored their growth as artists through solo projects and expressed his eagerness for what lies ahead in their journey.
