On Monday, singer-songwriter Woodz, previously known as Cho Seung-youn, released a new digital single titled "Amnesia" as a prelude to his upcoming mandatory military service, scheduled to commence on January 22.

Woodz shared insights into the song's inspiration, revealing that it addresses his recent concerns and reflections on whether individuals seek to forget reality when faced with unanswered questions. The track is an exploration of the shared experience of temporarily avoiding reality as a means of self-consolidation.

Originally introduced during his "OO-LI and" encore tour in October, "Amnesia" garnered positive feedback from audiences, prompting the official release of the song. Woodz expressed satisfaction with the audience's reception and hoped that people find depth in the themes expressed through his music.

Woodz, who initially debuted as a member of the boy band UNIQ in 2014, embarked on his solo career under the stage name Woodz in 2018. As he prepares to begin his mandatory military service, fans can reflect on his musical journey through the recently released digital single.
