On Monday, singer-songwriter Woodz, previously known as Cho Seung-youn, released a new digital single titled "Amnesia" as a prelude to his upcoming mandatory military service, scheduled to commence on January 22.
In a news release on Tuesday, Woodz described "Amnesia" as an alternative rock score produced by himself, exploring the theme of avoiding reality, symbolized by amnesia. He expressed his intention to return swiftly from military service, likening the separation to a temporary memory loss.

Originally introduced during his "OO-LI and" encore tour in October, "Amnesia" garnered positive feedback from audiences, prompting the official release of the song. Woodz expressed satisfaction with the audience's reception and hoped that people find depth in the themes expressed through his music.
Woodz, who initially debuted as a member of the boy band UNIQ in 2014, embarked on his solo career under the stage name Woodz in 2018. As he prepares to begin his mandatory military service, fans can reflect on his musical journey through the recently released digital single.
