Blackpink Reigns Supreme in the K-Pop Universe, Greeting 2.11 Million Fans Worldwide

Charting Unprecedented Territory with a World Tour and Record-breaking Performances

YG ENTERTAINMENT

In a groundbreaking year for K-pop sensation Blackpink, the quartet shattered records and conquered global stages, captivating an awe-inspiring audience of 2.11 million fans worldwide. The bandmates, undeniably seen as the rightful queens of K-pop, celebrated numerous firsts and triumphs during their remarkable journey.

Embarking on their "Born Pink" world tour in October of the previous year, Blackpink astounded with a staggering 66 performances across 34 cities, drawing a cumulative attendance of 1.8 million. The pinnacle of their tour featured the distinction of being the first K-pop girl group to grace the stage of Korea's immense music venue, the Gocheok Sky Dome, in Seoul.

Venturing further into uncharted territory, Blackpink achieved milestones as the first K-pop girl group to mesmerize audiences at iconic venues in the United States, including Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, San Francisco's Oracle Park, and the Dodger Stadium. They made history once again by staging two-day concerts at the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey and the Foro Sol music venue in Mexico City.

Continuing their trailblazing journey, Blackpink's electrifying performance at Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi marked the first for any K-pop group, while their captivating show at the Riyadh BLVD International Festival Site in Saudi Arabia set an unprecedented record for girl groups worldwide.

When factoring in the incredible turnout of 250,000 fans at the 2023 Coachella Music Festival and the 65,000 fans at the Hyde Park British Summer Time (BST) Festival, the total number of fans reached an astonishing 2,115,000, as reported by the group's management at YG Entertainment.

Amidst their monumental success, Blackpink now stands at a crossroads as the seven-year contracts with agency YG Entertainment have reached their conclusion. Although the group won't disband if members decide to part ways with the agency, the prospect of maintaining a unified Blackpink entity may pose a challenge in the future if individual artists are managed by different companies.
