The conflict between Hybe and Ador CEO Min Hee-jin continues, despite Min's recent offer of reconciliation. Belift Lab, the agency behind K-pop rookie girl group Illit, announced on Monday that they are filing an additional civil lawsuit against Min, accusing her of business interference and defamation. Additionally, Belift Lab released a 28-minute YouTube video refuting allegations of Illit's plagiarizing NewJeans’ concept and style.
Belift Lab emphasized that the Seoul Central District Court’s approval of Min’s preliminary injunction on May 30 pertains to a request to prevent Hybe from exercising voting rights during Ador's temporary shareholder meeting, not a ruling on the plagiarism issue. They stated that the civil lawsuit for defamation against Min is a separate matter.

In response, Min reaffirmed her stance on Illit’s alleged plagiarism during a press conference in Seoul on May 31, stating that her position remains consistent. However, she requested that her dispute not be linked to any Hybe artists.
Meanwhile, overseas fans of BTS have launched a petition on the international platform "Change.org," demanding Min Hee-jin's departure from Hybe, citing negative influences on artists under the company’s management. The petition has garnered nearly 51,500 signatures as of Tuesday.
