NewJeans, the South Korean girl group, will release a B-side track titled “Right Now” from their debut single in Japan, according to a statement by their agency Ador on Monday. The music video for "Right Now" is set to be unveiled on June 17, four days prior to the release of their single “Supernatural” on June 21.
The music video will feature characters from the American animated series “The Powerpuff Girls,” each stylized to represent one of the five group members. The video will also include contributions from Japanese contemporary artist Murakami Takashi, who has collaborated on both the visuals for the video and a special range of bags to be released with the single.
Following the release of “Supernatural,” NewJeans will hold a fan meetup at Tokyo Dome on June 26 and 27. This performance marks a significant milestone, as the group will appear at the venue less than two years after their debut, setting a record for the fastest debut-to-performance timeline for an international artist at this location.
NewJeans' music video for “Right Now” will be released on June 17, ahead of their single “Supernatural,” set for release on June 21, 2024.
