Felix of Stray Kids has released a new solo track titled “Slow It Down.”

The digital single and its accompanying music video were released through music platforms and the group’s “SKZ-PLAYER” project at 6 p.m. on Sept. 1.

“Slow It Down” is an acoustic hip-hop track combining a guitar loop with a hip-hop beat. Its lyrics encourage listeners to pause amid a fast-moving daily routine and reconsider the time shared with people around them and the goals they are pursuing.

Felix co-wrote the lyrics with Andrew Choi. The composition is credited to Felix, Choi, Tido, Tomi Saario and Vilma Lähteenmäki. Tido, Saario and Lähteenmäki handled the arrangement.

Actor Roh Yoon-seo appears in the music video as Yunseo, a young woman caring for her younger sibling while pursuing her ambition of becoming a chef. Felix plays a figure who offers encouragement as she struggles to balance her responsibilities with her goal.

The video uses objects including a bicycle, cake and cookbook to depict the connection between the two characters. Yunseo’s efforts to continue working toward her dream are presented alongside the song’s message about slowing down and reconsidering the present.

“SKZ-PLAYER” is a self-produced project through which Stray Kids members release music and visual content they have helped create. Han opened this year’s series with “back to life” in June, making Felix the second member to present an individual work.

Stray Kids released the EP “THIS & THAT” on Aug. 7. The album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 on the chart dated Aug. 22, giving the group nine chart entries that have all debuted at the top.

“THIS & THAT” ranked No. 8 on the Billboard 200 dated Sept. 5, extending its run in the top 10 to three consecutive weeks.

Stray Kids are continuing their “RUN IT” world tour. The group is scheduled to headline Rock in Rio in Brazil on Sept. 11 and present further “STRAYCITY” festival-format shows in Latin America.
