K-pop boy group Shares their Ambitions and Creative Process Ahead of First Single Drop

In a press showcase held at the Roun Artium in Yangcheon District, western Seoul, the leader of the K-pop boy band Tempest, Lew, expressed unwavering confidence and pride in the band's relentless pursuit of their music. The showcase served as a precursor to the release of their first single, "Into The Tempest," showcasing the band's swift pace with four EPs since their debut in March 2022.

Despite the brief five-month gap since their last release, "The Calm Before The Storm," Tempest sees this quick turnaround as a testament to their ambition and desire to showcase their talent. The band's first tour, "2023 Tempest Show Con [T-OUR]," commenced in Korea and Japan in August, with plans to continue in Macau later this month.

Band members Lew and Hwarang, known by their real names Lee Eui-woong and Song Jae-won, have actively contributed to album production and lyric writing, infusing their personal touch into all three tracks of the single. Hwarang shared insights into the inspiration for the lead track, "Vroom Vroom," citing the movie "Ford v Ferrari" and its imagery related to racing, translating into a lively and energetic minimal-hip-hop and dance score.

Known for their autobiographical approach to music, Tempest aims to convey their genuine thoughts while offering relatable and comforting experiences to their listeners through this new album. Looking ahead, the band plans to connect with their fans through extensive travel, visiting places like Macau, Tokyo, and Saudi Arabia, in addition to their weekly music show appearances. Their focus for the year remains on growth, showcasing novel facets of their artistry to fans worldwide.
