BTS member Jungkook's latest song, "Standing Next to You," has made an impressive debut on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, securing the fifth position. The track, featured on Jungkook's first solo album, "Golden," released on November 3, has marked his third entry into the Hot 100 top 10.
With this accomplishment, Jungkook now holds the record for the most Hot 100 entries among K-pop solo artists, as six of his solo pieces have successfully entered the chart. The Hot 100 rankings are determined by a combination of streaming, radio airplay, and sales data in the United States.
"Standing Next to You" has garnered notable figures, including 10.6 million streams, a radio airplay audience of 400,000, and 99,000 physical and digital copies sold combined. The retro-funk song, known for Jungkook's rhythmic and powerful vocals, explores themes of unwavering commitment to a lover amidst challenges.
Produced by Andrew Watt and Cirkut, the same duo behind Jungkook's solo debut hit "Seven," the song achieved further success by topping both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global 200 Excl. U.S. charts.
Jungkook's previous solo singles, "Seven" and "3D," also secured positions in the top rankings of the Billboard Global charts. "Golden," the solo album containing "Standing Next to You," entered the Billboard 200 main albums chart at No. 2 for the current week, earning 210,200 equivalent album units.
The album features a total of 11 tracks, showcasing Jungkook's versatility as a solo artist.
