Local video streaming service Coupang Play is planning to release a BTS concert film titled "BTS: Yet to Come" in November. Additionally, they will launch a new survival show called "University War."
Coupang Play, though trailing behind popular local streaming platforms like Wavve and Tving, seeks to bolster its presence in the Korean streaming market.
The BTS concert film, "BTS: Yet to Come," features the K-pop group's performance at the Busan Asiad Stadium in October 2022, just before some of the members began their mandatory military service. The film captures the group's energetic performance in front of a crowd of 50,000, including hit songs like "Mic Drop," "Dynamite," "Boy With Luv," and "Butter." The film also includes the live unveiling of the song "Run BTS" during the concert.
The exact release date for "BTS: Yet to Come" is yet to be announced.
Coupang Play will also present "University War," a new mind game survival show starting on November 3. The show features students from five prestigious universities, including Seoul National University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Yonsei University, and Korea University. Contestants will be tested on their mental arithmetic, deduction, and memorization skills in various challenges.
The first two episodes of "University War" will be available on November 3, followed by one episode released every Friday.
