SF9's Rowoon Bids Farewell to Focus on Acting Career

Rowoon, a cherished member of K-pop boy band SF9, has officially announced his departure from the group to fully immerse himself in advancing his acting career. The decision follows the renewal of contracts by the other eight members with FNC Entertainment, the agency representing SF9.
In a heartfelt statement, FNC Entertainment conveyed their support for Rowoon's aspirations, emphasizing that despite taking separate paths, he will forever remain a special member of SF9 in their hearts. The agency affirmed their commitment to delivering outstanding performances while expressing gratitude to the fans.
Rowoon shared his thoughts on this significant transition in a handwritten letter, expressing gratitude for the growth and cherished memories during his seven-year journey with SF9. He acknowledged the new challenges and opportunities that lie ahead at the age of 27 and sought the continued support and attention of his fans as he embarks on this transformative journey.
Youngbin, SF9's leader currently serving in the military, also offered comforting words to the group’s fans, assuring his dedication to supporting Rowoon's future endeavors and acknowledging the emotions the fans may be experiencing during this transition.
Since their debut in 2016, SF9 has captivated audiences with hit songs like "O Sole Mio," "Now or Never," and "Trauma," garnering a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim. Meanwhile, Rowoon has excelled in both music and acting, earning recognition for his roles in notable dramas like "Extraordinary You" (2019) and "The King's Affection" (2021), while currently portraying Jang Shin-yu in the JTBC drama "Destined With You."
