Pledis Entertainment's 13-Member Group Set to Deliver Speech and Performance at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris

Seventeen, a 13-member K-pop group under Pledis Entertainment, will make history as the first K-pop act to address and perform at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, the agency announced on Friday.

The group is scheduled to participate in the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum, taking place at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris on November 14 at 7 p.m. (Paris time).

Seventeen will take part in a special session, where they will deliver a speech and perform for approximately one hour. The UNESCO Youth Forum is a biennial event that runs parallel to the UNESCO General Conference, offering a platform for youth representatives from across the globe to share insights and experiences related to the challenges facing the younger generation and explore potential solutions.

This milestone underscores Seventeen's unique position as the first K-pop act to engage in a full session at a prestigious UNESCO event. Pledis Entertainment views this accomplishment as a testament to the group's status as a symbol of youth, transcending the boundaries of K-pop fandom.

During their speech, Seventeen will convey a message centered on the importance of solidarity among young people and the role of education in shaping the future for both youth and the planet. Drawing from their individual experiences, the group members will propose actionable roles for young individuals in advancing sustainable development.

Since their debut in 2015, Seventeen has consistently promoted a positive message through their music, encouraging young people to face challenges with resilience and unity rather than succumbing to pessimism and frustration. Their impact has propelled them to become a prominent K-pop act, with annual album sales exceeding 10 million copies.
