In a much-anticipated comeback, K-pop sensation ONF is set to unveil their seventh EP, "Love Effect," on October 4th, as announced by their agency, WM Entertainment, on Tuesday.
"Love Effect" marks a significant milestone for ONF as it will be their first album release with dedicated promotions in nearly two years, following the launch of their sixth EP, "Goosebumps," back in December 2021. In the intervening period, five of the six members of the group fulfilled their mandatory military service obligations, pausing the group's musical journey temporarily.
During this hiatus, ONF surprised their dedicated fanbase with a special album titled "Storage of ONF" in August 2022. This heartfelt offering was meticulously crafted by the members before their enlistment and served as a token of appreciation for their loyal supporters.
According to WM Entertainment, ONF's upcoming album, "Love Effect," is poised to "open the second chapter" in the boy band's career, promising a fresh musical direction and renewed energy.
ONF originally debuted in 2017 with their first EP, "ON/OFF." Notably, five of the six members, all of Korean nationality, made a collective decision to commence their mandatory military service concurrently "to minimize the group's downtime." The return of these members from their military service was celebrated with a fan meeting titled "Be Here Now" in July, a month after their completion of military duties.
Comprising one Japanese member, known as U, and five Korean members—Hyojin, E-Tion, J-Us, Wyatt, and MK—ONF's return is eagerly anticipated by fans and the wider music community alike, as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their musical journey.
